1.3 Checking Data

When you use our name checking features, we process:

  • Brand names and usernames you search for
  • Domain availability check results
  • Social media username availability results
  • Trademark search queries and results
  • AI-generated name suggestions and brand scores

1.4 Payment Information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers. We receive and store:

  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers
  • Last four digits of your payment method
  • Billing address and payment status
  • Transaction history and invoice records

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process your name, domain, and social media availability checks
  • Generate AI-powered brand name suggestions
  • Perform trademark conflict analysis
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, security alerts)
  • Improve the Service, including performance and accuracy of checks
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate the Service:

3.1 Payment Processing

Stripe processes all payments and subscription billing. Stripe receives your payment method details, billing address, and transaction amounts. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Authentication

Google OAuth and GitHub OAuth are used for account sign-in. When you authenticate with these providers, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. See Google's Privacy Policy and GitHub's Privacy Statement.

3.3 AI Name Generation

OpenAI powers our AI name generation feature. When you request AI-generated brand names, your business description or keywords are sent to OpenAI's API. We do not send personally identifiable information to OpenAI. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

3.4 Domain Checking

WhoAPI is used as a fallback for domain availability checking. Domain names you query may be sent to WhoAPI for verification. See WhoAPI's Privacy Policy.

3.5 Transactional Email

Resend handles delivery of transactional emails. Your email address and message content are shared with Resend for delivery purposes.

3.6 Hosting and Database

Our database is hosted on Neon Postgres in the United States. All data stored in our database is subject to Neon's security and privacy practices.

3.7 Social Media Checking

Our social media username checking feature accesses publicly available profile pages on platforms such as YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, and Telegram. We only check the availability of usernames on public pages and do not access or collect any private user data from these platforms.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except as required by law.
  • Check history: Name and domain check results are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically purged.
  • Payment records: Transaction and billing records are retained for 7 years in accordance with tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Server logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Export: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.
