NameSniper ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by its founder and reachable at info@namesniper.pro, operates the website namesniper.pro(the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information provided by you or your authentication provider, including:

  • Name and email address
  • Profile picture (if provided via Google OAuth)
  • Account credentials and authentication tokens
  • Account preferences and settings
  • How you found us: the first page you visited, the website that referred you, and what prompted you to sign up. This is kept in your own browser and only saved to your account when you create one.

1.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you access the Service, including:

  • IP address, browser type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Service
  • Referring website and search terms
  • Device identifiers and general location data

We count page views ourselves without cookies. To tell one visitor from another within a single day we derive a short anonymous code from your IP address and browser, mixed with that day's date. The code changes every day, so it cannot be used to follow you over time, and it is deleted after 90 days. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not count your page views.

1.3 Checking Data

When you use our name checking features, we process:

  • Brand names and usernames you search for
  • Domain availability check results
  • Social media username availability results
  • Trademark screening queries and results
  • AI-generated name suggestions, linguistic screening results, and brand scores

1.4 Monitoring, API, and Developer Data

When you use handle monitoring or developer features, we store:

  • The usernames and platforms you choose to watch, and the alert history for each watch
  • Your notification preferences and in-app notifications
  • Webhook endpoint URLs you register and the signing secret we issue for them
  • API keys we issue to you (stored hashed) and usage counts per key

1.5 Waitlist and Guest Data

  • If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the page you joined from, your approximate country, and the date. You can ask us to delete this at any time.
  • Guest usage limits are enforced with a one-way hash of your network address and the names you checked that day. Raw IP addresses are not stored for this purpose, and these records are deleted after two days.

1.6 Payment Information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. Stripe holds your payment method details (card number, CVV, billing address) directly; we never receive or store them. We receive and store:

  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers
  • Payment status
  • Transaction history and invoice records

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process your name, domain, and social media availability checks
  • Generate AI-powered brand name suggestions
  • Perform trademark similarity screening
  • Run the handle watches you configure and deliver alerts by email, in-app notification, or webhook
  • Authenticate and meter API and MCP server requests
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, security alerts)
  • Improve the Service, including performance and accuracy of checks
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate the Service:

3.1 Payment Processing

Stripe processes all payments and subscription billing. Stripe receives your payment method details, billing address, and transaction amounts. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Authentication

Google OAuth is available for account sign-in, alongside email and password registration. When you authenticate with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. See Google's Privacy Policy.

3.3 AI Name Generation and Linguistic Screening

OpenAI powers our AI name generation feature and our international linguistic and cultural screening feature. When you request AI-generated brand names or a linguistic screen, your business description or keywords are sent to OpenAI's API. We do not send account information to OpenAI, but any free-text description you type is sent as you wrote it, so please avoid including personal data in it. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

3.4 Domain Checking

Domain availability is resolved primarily through public DNS resolvers operated by Cloudflare and Google (DNS over HTTPS); the domain name you query is sent to those resolvers. WhoAPI is used as a fallback for domain availability checking. Domain names you query may be sent to WhoAPI for verification. See WhoAPI's Privacy Policy.

3.5 Transactional Email

Resend handles delivery of transactional emails. Your email address and message content are shared with Resend for delivery purposes.

3.6 Hosting and Database

Our application and database are hosted on Cloudflare(Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1). All data stored in our database is subject to Cloudflare's security and privacy practices.

3.7 Social Media Checking

Our social media username checking feature accesses publicly available profile pages on platforms such as YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter). We only check the availability of usernames on public pages and do not access or collect any private user data from these platforms.

For a small number of platforms that are difficult to check reliably from our own infrastructure (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, and Threads), checks by Day Pass, Pro, and Business users may be confirmed through a third-party verification provider. In these cases we send only the username being checked; we receive and store only whether that username is available or taken, never profile content such as display names, bios, or follower counts.

3.8 Trademark and Market Data

Trademark screening may send the name you check to a third-party trademark data provider; no personal information is included in that query. Market data for tradable usernames is read from public blockchain records through third-party data APIs and involves no data about you.

3.9 Webhooks You Configure

If you register a webhook endpoint, we send alert payloads (the watched name, platform, and change detected) to the URL you provide. The operator of that endpoint is chosen by you and is not a processor acting for us.

3.10 Feedback

If you submit feedback through the Service, we store the text you write along with your browser's user agent string, so we can reproduce issues you report. We may aggregate check activity across all users (such as total names checked or platform coverage) and publish those aggregate, non-identifying figures on our public stats page. We never publish the names anyone has checked.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except as required by law.
  • Check history: Name and domain check results are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically purged.
  • Usage events: Aggregate records of feature usage (including names checked) are retained for 90 days.
  • Watches and alerts: Watches are kept until you remove them or close your account. In-app notifications and alert history are purged after 90 days.
  • Guest quota records: Deleted after two days.
  • Unconfirmed accounts: A free account created with an email address that is never confirmed is deleted after 7 days.
  • Waitlist entries: Kept until you are invited and create an account, or until you ask us to remove you.
  • Payment records: Transaction and billing records are retained for 7 years in accordance with tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Server logs: Automatically deleted after 30 days.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Export: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

6. GDPR Compliance (European Economic Area)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the following additional provisions apply:

  • Legal basis for processing: We process your data based on (a) your consent, (b) performance of our contract with you, (c) our legitimate interests in operating the Service, or (d) compliance with legal obligations.
  • International transfers: Your data is processed on Cloudflare's global network, with primary storage in the EU. Some processors we use (see Section 3) operate globally. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms for data transferred from the EEA.

  • Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. CCPA Compliance (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights:

  • Right to know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Right to opt out: We do not sell personal information. If this changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link.
  • Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16 (or 13 where local law permits use with parental consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take steps to delete it promptly. 9. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
  • Secure authentication via Google sign-in or hashed passwords; API keys stored hashed
  • Periodic security reviews
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel
  • Automated monitoring for suspicious activity

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
