Why 5-letter names are the most contested tier
A 5-character name sits exactly on Telegram's public minimum. Unlike the 4-character tier, anyone could in principle register one free, which means the good ones went early and the rest trade on the market. Dictionary words, common first names, and clean pronounceable coinages dominate the top of the sale records.
For a buyer this cuts both ways: supply is larger than the 4-character tier, so mid-market prices are lower, but the ceiling for a real word is still five figures in TON. The records below show where those lines actually fall.
